Henir's Time And Space
You awake into darkness, surrounded by impossible geometry and an unnerving thrum that fills the cold air. Strange shapes move in the distance, drifting between labyrinthine paths that bend and twist into an endless, senseless maze. Gravity seems to be merely a suggestion, and you'll quickly find that any surface is fine for walking on—sideways, upsidedown, it doesn't matter as long as you're not thinking too hard about it. In a world of raw chaos, the only rule that matters is your willingness to press on. Just don't step too carelessly—one wrong move, and you could end up spinning down (up?) into an endless abyss, lost forever in time and space.
The air is cold, and the longer you stay here the more it feels like that chill will never leave... this isn't a place where mortals should be. Regardless of how you arrived in this place, you'd best make your way back out soon.

... but you're not alone in this alien world. There are others here like yourself, and it never hurts to have a few allies in a strange place like this.
There are also a number of strange... objects? Creatures? Monsters? Whatever you want to call them, they're not terribly friendly and "speak" only in terrifying, unnatural screeches. They seem territorial, which is a problem in a world where space itself follows no logical sense. At least they seem to lose interest once a target it out of their sights(?), and they can be killed(??) if you hit them enough times with something sharp or heavy... if you can't defend yourself, it's better to just keep your distance. There's a lot of sharp edges on those weird things, they seem to be fully aware of that fact.

Somewhere off in the distance you can hear a whale-like cry, followed by a giant shadow that flies past too quickly to see... that one, you probably shouldn't try to fight.
Walking In Circles, Squares And Triangles
No matter which way you go, you never seem to make any progress in finding a way out... and eventually, even the senseless scenery starts to look familiar again. You're not going to get anywhere just by looking around.
But it's on this second pass through that you finally stumble upon something new. Seated comfortably in the middle of the path is a strange man in an iron mask, bound in rusted chains. He is holding... a very dainty tea cup, which appears to be completely empty. He looks up as you approach, waving in a friendly manner.
Mysterious Masked Man
You're an adventurer, aren't you? Yes? No? Ah, well, it's never too late to start! Don't worry about the details. Hmm, let me try a different question... you want to leave this place, don't you? Henir's Time and Space isn't exactly friendly to ones like yourself. Besides, it's starting to get a little... crowded, one might say. I think it'd be beneficial to all of us if you and your little friends went somewhere else, don't you agree?
Kukuku, that's more like it. Why don't we make a deal? You do something for me, and I'll see to it that you can escape this place in one piece. That's fair, don't you think?
Hmm? Who am I? Oh, no one important! Not anymore, that is. You can call me Glave. Come find me again when you're ready. I'll gladly put you to work.
![]() |
Introduce yourself to the locals! |
"You see those shape-like creatures over there? They're not the best for conversation, but you could say they're the natives of this world. The long ones are called Chaos Triangle, and the ones that spin in place are Chaos Circle and Chaos Square. Why don't you start by introducing yourself? Of course, they respond best to acts of extreme violence, so you'd best go in prepared. When you're done playing, bring me back the core of each one and I'll give you something good." • Defeat Chaos Triangle, Chaos Circle and Chaos Square. • They're not the toughest of enemies to fight... but they can still smack you pretty hard, they have sharp edges, and they don't like strangers. You can't reason with them and they don't seem to understand speech. Also, the Triangles skitter. It's kind of creepy. • After striking the final blow, the Chaos creatures will collapse into their polygonal components and leave behind their core (a sphere, cube, or pyramid). Bring back one of each to Glave to complete this quest. |
![]() |
I didn't lose my marbles, but... |
"You're not much of a fighter, are you? Or maybe you're just pretending so you can get the easier job... kukuku, who am I to judge? Very well, not everything requires brute force to accomplish. Let's see... well, I did happen to drop something earlier. A pair of blue cubes, about an inch across each side. I think it was somewhere... oh, maybe over there? I'm busy at the moment, so how about you find them for me?" • Find Glave's two missing cubes. • His directions are awful to the point of being useless, and they blend in with all the other glowing blue surfaces around here. This might actually be impossible, but try your best. • Was this a trick to make you go away while he bothered someone else? ... maybe! But hey, it wouldn't hurt to try, right? There's tons of blue cubes just floating around, so maybe you can just find a pair that's almost the same... |
Lamp Oil? Rope? Bombs?
Glave's offer is tempting, if suspicious, but he's not the only one who seems familiar with this place. Somewhere deeper in the endless maze is another such person, standing at the centre of a wide platform bereft of monsters or chaos-creatures... a rest area, if you will. The woman smiles, checking something off on the long scroll in her hands.
Mysterious Woman
Leaving this place? I'm afraid that's outside of my control. I'm just a simple travelling merchant. You'd be better off trying to convince someone like Glave. He can be a bit troublesome, but he's not so bad once you get to know him.
![]() |
Who would say no to free samples? |
"Since you're helping Glave, why don't you take a couple of my potions? It's bad for business if my customers get hurt. If you give one of them to someone else, I'll consider that a favour to myself. Let me know how it goes, and I'll see what I can do to make Glave see reason." • Find a traveller in need and give them a healing potion! It tastes like Tylenol, but it sure does work. • Or just lie. Drink both of them yourself! What's the worst that could happen? • Show Helen that everyone is working hard to escape and she'll knock some sense into Glave. |
![]() |
You can't go to Elrios without a bit of whaling. |
"Actually... there is something else you could help me with. I run a fishing business on the side, you see, and I've heard tales of a great Leviathan that roams this space. I've always wondered if other fish might've ended up here as well. I'll let you have this rod, and if you find anything that looks like a fish, let me know." • Go fishing... in space!! • There is no water here, it only kind of looks stupid. • If you keep at it for long enough, you might actually fish something up... or maybe you'll just hook one of the Chaos creatures. Try not to get killed! • What is that whale sound, anyway? Maybe you can bait it out...? |

Raelyn (Battle Mage PC) | Dungeon Fighter Online (canon alternate timeline*) | OTA
Arrival:
[It's over before she even knows what is happening. An unstable space, a crack in air just barely visible, breaks open without warning and gives way to a swirling blue void in the moments that she is passing by, and she finds herself sucked in with no possible means of escape.
After what feels like an eternity of falling, she finally—finally—lands on something solid. Looking around, she recognizes nothing about the abstract blue space that now makes up her surroundings, but then again, she didn't expect to; she'd heard little things here and there about dimensional rifts, the gateways that connected different worlds or times to one another, and if she'd actually fallen into one, chances were pretty good that she would recognize nothing inside it, as well as nothing at wherever or whenever it connected Arad to.
Just standing around looking around isn't going to do any good, though, so after a few moments, she picks a direction and starts to go.]
Punching Polygons:
[After finding Glave, getting literally no explanation as to what is even going on, and being sent off on yet another little quest—people telling her they need her to do stuff is nothing new, and honestly feeling just a little old at this point—Raelyn is off to beat up some of the strange shaped creatures that call this space their home. She's not sure why he wants her to smack them around and bring him some of their cores, other than the possibility that he wants to be sure she can handle herself before he goes and requests something more-dangerous of her. That's typically how these sorts of things have worked in the past, anyway.
So to make it less-likely that the hypothetical follow-up request would be something too absurd, she decides that she'll only bring back exactly what he's asked for; one of each core and no more than that. She doesn't consider that following the instructions right to the letter might not be in her best interest either.
Having decided to start with a Chaos Circle, she goes to sneak up on one, and once she gets close enough, brings her weapon—a spear as long as she is tall—down on it with a ferocity that seems ill-fitting for a girl of her size. The act, of course, draws the immediate attention of all of the other shapes in the vicinity. As they start to close in, she mouths a small incantation to herself and a faint blue bubble forms around her, and with a second, separate incantation, a small cluster of glowing balls appear in the space behind her.]
Bring it on.
Taking A Break:
[Sometime after having fought a number of the Chaos creatures, she finds herself in a quieter place within this space. Though Helen's face is an unfamiliar one to her, she still finds some slight familiarity in the woman's presence and the sheer absurdity thereof; traveling merchants really do manage to get anywhere and everywhere, don't they? She's seen this several times over back in Arad, where no matter where she went, she would inexplicably come face to face with Delilah again and again, or sometimes Gabriel instead, even if there was no plausible explanation for their being there.
She's a little surprised when Helen passes her a pair of potions, with seemingly no strings attached outside of the request that she give one of the two to someone else and come back to report how well it worked.
But, she wants to rest a little longer before going back out into the more-dangerous parts of this place to go looking for literally anyone, so... Yeah she's just gonna sit for a little bit.]
Starfishing:
[Fishing. In space. She has been asked to go fishing in space. Is Helen serious about this?
Carrying a fishing rod that the woman agreed to part with in exchange for a handful of less-important things that had fortunately survived the fall into the rift that led here, Raelyn looks around, trying to figure out where or even how to start with such a ridiculous-sounding task. Where does she even cast the line?]
Fishing
Binah is not especially at a loss for ideas, but most things she knows that might do this sort of thing would have happened quite far away from her - certain people had made extremely sure of that.
She takes a look at the fishing rod in Raelyn's hand.]

PUNCHIN POLYGONS
From where he stands some distance off on top of one of those floating cubes, he can easily spot even more of the shapes swarming from behind the young lady, likely out of sight. With one flourish of his arm, several ice spears form over his head and fly forward, running each creature through swiftly and elegantly before they can try to tear what appears to be a shield down.
If she looks up at him at all, he nods, gesturing with a nod of his head toward the other enemies. Focus on what's in front of you, it says.]

The falling sensation lasted forever, jolting her awake as she finally hit the ground, her lightsabres spinning away from her. She used the Force to pull them back to her, remaining crouched and confused, her bright blue eyes unfocused only able to make out bright shapes. There was life all around her, she could see that through the Force. After a moment, she worked her way up to standing, finding her balance shakily. Getting her bearings seemed impossible, but with the Force, she'd be able to get used to this place. She knew that much.
"Hello?" she called, and though her voice was soft, it carried. "Is anyone else out there?"
Polygon Fighting
She'd been tasked to fight and it was with heavy use of the Force that she did so. Her lightsabres flashed gold, sparking as she worked to take down a polygon, and then another, until she had all the cores requested. She could hear someone else fighting them, though and called out.
"Need any help?"
She'd definitely help anyone who needed it, helping was second nature to her as a Jedi. Arha stepped forward toward the sound of battle, her lightsabres igniting.
Quieter Moments
Finding a merchant was a boon, even if she didn't take any of the currency Arha had on her. They talked for a little while and Arha obtained two potions. She tucked them away and nodded. She'd find someone to give the other potion to, that didn't seem like it'd be a problem. She found a nice place to sit and meditate for a while, gathering her strength for the next adventure.
"You can sit with me if you want," she said, hearing a noise nearby and glancing up and toward it. She smiled and patted the ground next to her. "I don't mind sharing. It's nice to see another face, so to speak."
Quieter Moments!
He'd come to check up on the figure resting to make sure she's, well, alive, and when she speaks to him he offers a thin-yet-polite smile. He's relieved, to be honest. Ordinarily, he wouldn't rest, but perhaps a short break is in order.
"Thank you for the offer. I'll take you up on it," he says softly as he sits, tucking a draconic tail underneath himself to keep it out of the way. "Are you injured?"

Binah | Library of Ruina (OU) | OTA
[The air unfolds, and a woman in black appears where there was none.
Ripped from her found and chosen home like a notebook page, for a moment she simply stands and watches. It's what she was once used to, as a guardian in such despair that she cannot fall into the abyss, but that life is behind her now.
She does not flinch as she strides through foreign space, even as she feels the chill of the void.]
The Shapes of the Stars
[Despite not liking his tone, Binah does have to conclude that this man called Glave has a better idea of what's going on than anyone else. And if destroying these... shapes... is enough to at least get her out of this hazardous zone, it's a better use of her powers than trying to force open another route. Who knows what consequences that might have?
When she finds a few targets, all she does is raise a hand - and a series of small, golden rifts tear themselves open in the space in front of her. The hapless Triangle she aimed at splits into segments immediately under the assault... but its friends noticed.
She's outnumbered, and doesn't look particularly sturdy. Will she be able to prevail on her own?]
Altruism or Capitalism?
[Truth be told, Binah has only had use for money if she counted her own past lives. Angela - or rather, the Library - had provided for quite a lot over the few weeks her current self had maintained the Floor of Philosophy, not the least of which included whatever she needed to make tea.
So, with nothing to offer Helen, she accepts her generosity openly. She may have some protection against the "blades" used by the residents of this space, but her body has limits and she's not quite willing to test them just yet.
After all, it's all too easy to get lost here, where whatever logic dictates the space is strange, foreign, and hopefully not actively malicious.]
The Shapes of the Stars
First order of business: Protecting someone who may not be able to protect herself. Denif sweeps his arm forward and, with only a small incantation, conjures a translucent blue shield around the stranger. It should hold for a myriad of light strikes or a couple of heavy ones at least. With that out of the way...
Second order of business: Murder. Which is to say that Denif quickly spins on his heel to take out one of the attackers from behind by rapidly dropping several hundred icicles on top of its... head? Body? Something. The sound of shattering ice fills the otherwise-silent space as the creature ceases to move, despite his attack looking fairly unimpressive on the surface.]

Riddle Rosehearts | Twisted Wonderland
( it feels like he's awoken into a nightmare of a sort- dark and nonsensical, with creatures that he's never seen before, all of which are violent. but riddle is not defenseless, thankfully. he's not a fighter... but he is a prodigy mage, and it shows when he summons fire to shield him from assault with his wand. ... the red gem hasn't shown any tarnish yet. inhale, exhale. he's alright. he just has to find a way out. )
♕ an interesting gleam
So we're supposed to slay monsters, then?
( well. that feels... hm. archaic? but between slaying monsters and finding cubes that look like... literally everything else here, or staying in this dreadful place, there's little choice is there? they have to see it all done. )
I am a mage, at least, but... well. I suppose we'll have to try. I have no intention of staying here.
♕ a bit of respite
( well. alright. he's got a few potions at least, which is handy! there's little he can do himself if someone were to get hurt, so it's comforting at least. but for now, he's going to take advantage of the relative peace of the platform. it's times like these that he loathes his uniform coming with high heels, but far be it from him to complain. and now that he's got a few minutes to breathe... )
What do you make of all this?
♕ an unusual sight
... I'll admit, I've seen some rather silly things before, but fishing without water is a new one.
( he says this, but he's still looking over the edge with more care than it may appear at a glance. )
... I've never gone fishing before, actually. Do you think you'll actually get something?
♕ wildcard
( riddle is the young housewarden of heartslabyul from twisted wonderland! he's a good but temperamental boy, and may have transformed into a monster at one point. he got better. he's a powerful mage... but uh, kinda scrawny and unathletic otherwise, even if he does his best. )

Fubuki Kitagawa || FFXIV || Non-WoL OC
[ Fubuki was pretty certain she had fallen asleep under a nice tree, cozily leaned against its trunk with the afternoon warmth all around her. This is decidedly not cozy, and is honestly pretty terrifying! She stands up to walk around, hunched as though any part of the sky (or those geometrical monsters!!) might swoop down on her at any point in time. She's so wrapped up in looking around she doesn't look down, and ends up stepping over the edge... ]
AHH!
[ The shriek she lets out is shrill, and somewhat inhuman for a moment before she seems to realize her feet are still firmly on the ground, just 90 degrees from where she started. Still, that spooked her quite a bit! She looks about ready to faint. ]
On The Hunt (for cubes)
[ Anyone else who might be on the hunt for Glave's cubes might notice a young woman
not-sosubtly sniffing around. She seems to break every so often to breathe easier (or perhaps just to get used to the incredibly odd smell of T H E V O I D) and look around the old fashioned way (read: hand cupped over her eyes like she's searching the horizon). ]Free Samples
[ Fubuki appears to be doing her very best to not just drink the healing potions she's received from Helen. She's got a bottle clasped in each hand and can be seen looking at one of them intensely every so often. One of them is meant to be hers, but given that it's a healing potion, she should probably save it until she needs actual healing.
But on the other hand? Her lunch was so long ago and People made such interesting things to eat and drink!! Please save her from the temptation and potential future guilt of drinking one of the potions without need. ]
Wildcard
(Fubuki is a Non-WoL OC from the world of Final Fantasy XIV! She's a (relatively speaking) young kitsune who has been masquerading as a Midlander Hyur girl for the past few years. Her powers are quite limited as far as kitsune go, but she's a skilled ninja and samurai! She's also quite friendly and outgoing, with little regard for things like personal space. If your character has food on them expect her to come looking for it! Her extended profile can be found here for those interested!)

minato arisato 🔫 persona 3
[so, like. obviously minato had no idea where he was-- how he figured he'd gotten here was a different story, at least as far as he could surmise. when he'd closed his eyes on the roof of his school, job done and promise fulfilled, opening them back up again to find himself in a maze that didn't seem to have quite a solid idea of where it wanted to go, and with surroundings that couldn't really decide how they preferred to work, wasn't what he expected to see. but also, like... he had no better clue of what to expect, so for now, he'd just have to shrug his shoulders and roll with it, and try to find his way to... anywhere, he supposed.
as he wandered for what could've been minutes, hours, or even days, headphones over his ears and hands stuffed in his pockets, it didn't take him long to realize that the laws of gravity in this place were more suggestions than hard rules, and with a slight quirk of an eyebrow, he carefully presses the heel of a shoe against a wall experimentally, eventually walking straight up it to hover upside down from the ground below. with a curious hum, he ends up sitting himself down pretzel style, turning the volume on his mp3 player up a few notches as he took the moment to rest and watch the objects pass by, chin resting in his hand and fingers curling to cover his mouth as he yawned softly.
well. something would happen sooner or later, he supposed.
it's possible to catch him when he's simply peacefully vibing by himself, but of course sitting around out in the open has its fair share of risks-- with how territorial the oddly shaped creatures were, it's only inevitable that one would eventually lock its gaze onto him from behind, letting out a warning screech as it charged foward. but, uh... his music was still playing very loud, to the point it could even be heard vaguely near him.
minato the creacher is coming... oh god he has headphones on, he can't hear us, oh god, soooo you should probably try to catch his attention. if you feel like it, anyways.]
what's a guy gotta do to get a nap around here;
[eventually minato manages to find his way to the so called rest area, and while all he really wanted by this point was a nice cozy place to catch some zzz's, there was a lady here who wanted help with some things, which was unfortunately something he tended to do from time to time. ugh. can't a guy sleep off the after-effects of the end of the world in peace around here? truly, he can't catch a break.]
a;
[first off, he supposed he'd... go space fishing??? he hadn't fished a day in his life, let alone in space, but there was a first time for everything or whatever. he spends a good while sitting around with his fishing pole cast, head occasionally beginning to slowly tilt to the side only to jolt back up as he attempted not to nod off mid fishing trip. this was boring as heck, what kind of person would do this for fun and for random items to heal party members with in the middle of battle--
anyways. days or weeks or months or like, seconds later, who even knew at this point, he does manage to catch, uh, something. whatever this thing could even be qualified as. but at least it was a thing that was in the air and took the bait, so it was probably a space fish. he didn't know what the lady would give him for a successful job done, but... whatever.
but as in all great tales, there's a little wrinkle. he has all of a minute or so to actually revel in the fruits of his labor before one of the odd monsters comes by at incredible speeds and snaps the tentacle thing into its weird lil shape mouth, which as a result pulls the entire fishing line along with it through the air, with minato still attached.
uh.
oops?
well. perhaps someone should help minato with his kite flying situation, here.]
b;
[after that whole ordeal, minato was feeling quite parched, so instead of handing out potions to whoever he managed to come across, he's currently out of eyesight of helen, sipping at a health potion with the other empty bottle on the ground next to him. it tasted terrible, but beggars can't really be choosers in this economy.
when he catches movement out of the corner of his eye with someone approaching, his eyes immediately dart up to size it up, having definitely learned his lesson at this point. but when he realizes it's just some other lost person, his gaze flickers back down to his bottle, taking a sip as he turns back to whoever had approached.]

no, okay. Minato goes zooming through the air but maybe he catches the glimpse of something shiny come hurtling towards him— the end of a fishing hook, to be precise, and at the other end of the invisible thread is the fishing rod of a girl standing on the ground below casting him a lifeline. She's aiming for his shirt but if she catches his face or something instead, close enough. ]
LET GO, STUPID!
[ Is she talking to Minato or the fish? yes ]

Hat Kid | A Hat in Time | OTA
[Honestly the cold didn't seem to bother her at all. Not really a stranger to this kind of thing either. Well alright, the lack of water was a little bit different. The geometric shapes felt about right though.]
[Regardless, she could zoom. Leaping to every solid shape with ease and little need to slow down. Almost as though she had rehearsed all this before. And perhaps she had, but in a different hole of reality. It was making it really easy to get to...somewhere. Actually, she had no idea where exactly she was going at all. But there was a path, even if it was a parkour-y one, so the logical sense seemed to be it would lead to something. Or at any rate, it'll be clear enough what to do here.]
[Or eventually the kid will stop. It's hard to be 'lost' if you had no idea where you were at the start. But that is probably what is happening here. Maybe backtracking wouldn't hurt either, there could've been something she missed. Given the nature of this place it's also likely it's always changing.]
B. Pointy Edges
[Or better yet, let's disrupt some of the natives. Apparently there is some of those. At least, gonna assume that's what those things are.]
[...Why does it seem like attacking them is a terrible idea though. For once in her life, this might be the one thing that's umbrella proof, alas. But she does have another plan if it'll actually work.]
Over here! [She got the attention of one such cluster of polygons. Assuming it was stupid enough to chase her, and assuming it had no deadly lasers, she tried luring it to a wall. One of which that looked like it had no escape. Only for at the last possible second she hopped onto the wall itself and began running up it. It didn't seem to completely destroy the shape, but the collision managed to bust it up a bit. Now would be a great time to escape for real before it recovers, unless somebody wants an easy core.]
C. Wildcard??
[Surprise me with something! Or if you want to pm, I'm at
B
It's a little weird, though; she's seen this particular kind teleport around, so why doesn't this one teleport too? She's sure that it could have at least changed its trajectory to avoid going into that wall, as well, so...maybe it was already damaged?
Who knows.
She already has a handful of cores from previously having actively sought the things, but after watching for a bit she decides that one more can't hurt. While the Square is still chasing its little purple target, Rae closes the distance between it and herself and strikes it from behind with a wide-sweeping and heavy swing of her spear, catching a part of the thing on the blade before it gets unceremoniously flung right back into the wall it had slammed into before.]

Especially not when she was in the middle of a roadtrip. Her (stolen) car better still be in one piece when she gets back.
She hadn't even gotten the chance to actually let it all sink in when this guy comes out of nowhere, picking a fight with her. That's the only reason he'd ask out of the blue, right?
She swings her gun off her shoulder and quickly grips the handle, pointing the barrel towards him.
"Tsk. Not cute at all. Where are your manners, boy?"
